End of Life Doula

Navigating death is one of the most emotionally complex experiences in life. Letting go can be hard for both the individual and those who care for them. As an End-of-Life Doula (Death Doula), my role is to offer compassionate care, tailored to your wishes, to support a respectful transition. I provide care for both emotional and practical needs, honoring the unique preferences and desires of those involved.

This time is different for everyone—some experience deep connection and presence, while for others it may feel urgent and stressful, or it could be a combo of all these emotions. All of it is valid. All of it is allowed. My aim is to create ease, whether by facilitating meaningful conversations, advocating for needs, assisting with final wishes, or simply being a calm, steady presence. Together, we can navigate this time with care and respect, allowing space to acknowledge and honor the emotions that are present.

Testimonials

  • If you are struggling with the labyrinth of challenges for senior care, you cannot have a better advisor or coach in your corner than Katrina Prescott.

Words can't begin to express how effectively she taught our family to navigate a confusing system and advocate for our mom as she approaches the end of her life.

We know we could never have managed this without Katrina's help. We have been able to understand the system, keep Mom comfortable at home, and access badly needed help that we wouldn't have known was available.

This kind of help is a godsend. Thank you, Katrina!

Katrina has great tips and tools, and a wonderful supportive way to help me sort thru so many difficult issues and problems. She makes me feel good about myself, and her energy helps me realize that my problems in dealing with the care giving for my husband are not as overwhelming. She also encourages me to focus and realize that I still have to care for myself, and create a life for myself, if I want to help my husband to my best ability. And she does this without judgement. I feel her love and joy for life and her strength to do the best I can, and know it's ok. She is wonderful!
